Product Description 

 
The ZT-EC6 Hybrid manually propelled and transit wheelchair is designed and 
intended to be used by a range of clients whose mobility has been reduced or 
removed by a disability or chronic illness. Suitability of these wheelchairs can vary 
from a temporary to a permanent disability depending upon the type of restrictive 
impairment.  
The design incorporates a 4 wheeled wheelchair, for moderate daily use, with back, 
arm and leg support, with the intention of it being used as a wheeled conveyance to 
enhance the mobility of a person, with a maximum mass of 120kg, where mobility is 
impaired. The chair can be converted from manually propelled to transit (attendant 
controlled) quickly and easily by the removal of the two larger rear wheels. The 
design ergonomically accommodates a wide range of disabilities for all ages of user. 
Suitability is dependant upon the degree and nature of disability and where possible 
should be determined through a thorough risk assessment carried out by a qualified 
medical professional. This wheelchair is suitable for a means of transfer from one 
location to another where physical mobility is impaired or reduced.  
Consideration must be given at point of prescription to required usage with regard to 
the capabilities of the user and the environment and terrain on which the product will 
be used.  
 
The ZT-EC6 Hybrid, manufactured by Z-Tec Mobility Ltd, is placed on the EU 
market, CE marked, as a Class 1 Medical Device and complies with the Essential 
Requirements of the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC.

device"* means an instrument, apparatus, appliance, material or other article, whether 
used alone or in combination, together with any software necessary for its proper
