A Correct use
■ Only use y o u r p e n -in je c to r w ith in th e scope o f tre a tm e n t th a t has been prescribed by y o u r doctor, fo llo w in g in s tru c tio n s concerning in s u lin
cartridges, pen needles and dose q u a n titie s . Any changes m ust be made under th e supervision o f a doctor.
■ Before every in je c tio n make sure y o u r p e n -in je c to r contains th e corre ct in s u lin type prescribed fo r you, check to make sure th e in s u lin
cartrid ge is undamaged.
■ Pen needles and in s u lin cartridges are in te n d e d fo r in d iv id u a l use o n ly to avoid disease transm ission.
■ Do n o t change th e in je c tio n pen angle once th e pen needle has been inserted in to th e skin. I t can cause th e pen needle to break o ff. I f a
broken pen needle remains stuck in th e body, v is it a d o c to r im m ediate ly.
■ Do n o t su b je ct yo u r p e n -in je c to r to d ire c t s u n lig h t o r cold tem peratures.
■ Do n o t drop th e p e n -in je c to r and do n o t knock i t aga inst hard surfaces, do n o t immerse in w ater. Never use yo u r p e n -in je c to r i f you have
any doubts a b o u t th e proper device o p e ra tion.
