SubSonic Filter

The 

SR300

 features a specially designed subsonic filter which effectively blocks potentially

destructive energy in the band below 35 Hz while slightly enhancing the band between 40 and 70
Hz. Engaging this filter produces the perception the same “bottom end”, while excessive and
possibly damaging excursions of the speaker cone are prevented. The filter provides an 12 dB/Oct
skirt below 35 Hz and 1dB boost at 50Hz. We recommend using this filter. With the filter disabled,
the 

SR300

 is flat down to 20 Hz, and rolls off at 12dB/Oct below that.
