MAINTENANCE

SYMPTOM

PROBABLE CAUSE

SOLUTION

Green LEDs dimly lit on all de-
vices.

LEDs occasionally are not operating
properly (stay ON).

Electrical noise on the network.

Polarity of P2 and P3 crossed in the
network.

Disconnect LAN devices one at a
time until fault indication disap-
pears. Reroute LAN cable away
from noise source (VSDs etc.).

Disconnect all LAN devices and
check continuity.
