YOKOGAWA recommends customer to apply the 
Metal Conduit Wiring or to use the twisted pair Shield 
Cable for signal wiring to conform the requirement 
of EMC Regulation, when customer installs the EJA 
Series Transmitters to the plant.

2.6  PED (Pressure Equipment 

Directive)

(1)   General

•   EJA series of pressure transmitters are categorized 

as pressure accessories under the vessel section 
of this directive 97/23/EC, which corresponds to 
Article 3, Paragraph 3 of PED, denoted as Sound 
Engineering Practice (SEP).

•   EJA130A, EJA440A, EJA510A, and EJA530A can 

be used above 200 bar and therefore considered as 
a part of a pressure retaining vessel where category 
lll, Module H applies. These models with option code 
/PE3 conform to that category.
