IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using and keep for future reference.
2. Use the blender on a flat, stable surface.
3. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label.
4. When using an extension lead please ensure you do not exceed the maximum rated running
wattage / load of the extension lead.
5. To prevent fire, electric shock and injury do not immerge cord, plug or unit in water or other liquids.
6. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years old and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
must not be made by children without supervision.
7. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
8. Keep the device and its power cord away from children under 8 years old.
9. Keep the device away from sources of humidity, heat and direct sunlight.
10. Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the table, counter, or to touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not put the device on or near a an electric or gas stove. Do not put the unit in a hot oven.
12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any manner.
13. If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by manufacturer service or a qualified technician
to avoid harm.
14. Turn the device off before unplugging. Always unplug the device after use.
15. Unplug the device before carrying or cleaning.
16. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands, because it might cause electrical shock.
17. Do not operate the device with wet hands or barefoot.
18. Before removing the jug, turn the blender off and unplug the device.
19. While unplugging, hold by the plug, not the cord.
20. If during operation of the device an unusual noise or smell appears, immediately turn it off and
unplug it.
21. If the device suddenly ceases operation, unplug it immediately, set the control knob on the body
in the “0” position, allow the unit to cool down for 60 minutes, plug it back in and turn it back on.
22. If the automatic overheating protection turns off the device often, contact customer service.
23. If any part of the device or its accessories is damaged, do not use it.
24. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside.
