IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before use and keep for future reference.
2. Only use the device on a flat, stable water and heat-resistant surface.
3. Place the grill in a safe distance from flammables such as furniture, window covers etc., at least
15 cm from the wall.
4. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label.
5. When using an extension cord, ensure you do not exceed its maximum rated running
wattage / load.
6. To protect against fire, electrical shock and injury do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water
or other liquids.
7. This appliance is intended for indoor use. It is recommended to install it a residual current device
(RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA. For this purpose contact
a qualified electrician.
8. This appliance is equipped with electrical heating elements. Charcoal and other fuels must not
be used in the grill.
9. This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or those, who lack experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. It is imperative that children do not play with this device. Cleaning
and maintenance should not be done by children without proper supervision.
10. Exercise caution especially when the device is used near or by children.
11. Keep the device and its power cord away from children under 8 years old.
12. Keep the device away from sources of humidity, heat or direct sunlight.
13. Do not use the grill around sources of water such as bathtubs, showers, washbasins, swimming
pools etc.
14. Do not allow the power cord to hang off the edge of the table or to touch hot surfaces and/or the
grill
’s body or plate.
15. The heating element, grill plate and some p
arts of the grill’s body heat up to very high
temperatures. Never touch them when the appliance is heated up to avoid burns.
16. To avoid overheating, the device should not be covered by any heavy or elastic material,
such as an aluminum tray, aluminum foil or trays made of other heat-resistant materials. The use
of such objects or materials on the grill may cause serious damage.
17. Do not use metal utensils on the plate and pans to prevent damage to the non-stick layer.
18. Exercise caution when placing food on a hot grill plate as splashing may occur and hot steam
may be generated.
19. Do not pour water on a hot plate or pans, as it will cause splashing and damage the device.
20. It is recommended to use oven mitts when using the grill.
21. Do not touch the hot plate. The pans may be held by the plastic handles.
22. Before carrying or cleaning, turn the device off, unplug it and wait for it to cool down completely.
23. Do not use the device if its power cord or plug is damaged, or in case of any other malfunction.
24. If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by manufacturer service or a qualified technician
to avoid harm.
25. Turn the device off before unplugging. Always unplug the device after finishing work.
26. Do not hold the power plug with wet hands, as it might cause electrical shock.
27. While unplugging, hold by the plug, not the cord.
28. Do not use the device with wet hands or barefoot.
29. If, during operation of the device, an unusual sound or smell appears, turn it off immediately
and unplug it.
