26. Do not short-circuit batteries. Do not store batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer where they
may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects.
27. Do not remove a battery from its original packaging until required for use.
28. Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock.
29. In the event of a battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes.
If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical
advice.
30. Ensure that batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and
–).
31. Batteries usage by children should be supervised. Do not allow children to replace batteries
without adult supervision.
32. Seek medical advice immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
33. Keep batteries clean and dry.
34. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the equipment prior to battery installation.
35. Always select the correct size and type of battery most suitable for the intended use. Information
provided with the equipment to assist correct battery selection should be retained for reference.
36. Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period of time unless it is
for emergency purposes.
37. Remove exhausted batteries promptly.
38. Do not dispose of batteries in fire except under conditions of approved and controlled incineration.
39. Batteries should be disposed of in specially marked containers at designated disposal points.
40. The thermostat of this heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature with
accuracy. It is recommended not to use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied
by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
41. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must
not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit
that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
42. Do not leave the appliance on unattended.
43. This appliance is intended to be used for household indoor use only. Any other use is considered
inappropriate and dangerous.
44. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage resulting from failure to follow
