Setup
Sound quality and proper functionality are dependent on correct tuning of the shelves.
The following guidelines will help you obtain the best results. In general, we recommend
you use the assistance of a professional installer when setting-up stereo and/or home
cinema equipment.
Warning: space the middle shelf/shelves of YG Acoustics™ Rack as evenly as
possible to avoid any tall unsupported sections of the uprights. Position
components carefully to maintain even weight distribution across each shelf.
Inspect tightness of screws regularly, but be careful not to overtighten. The weight
capacities below are based on even spacing of all shelves, even weight
distribution across each shelf, and properly tightened screws. Danger: never use
YG Acoustics™ Rack as a step/chair/stool/ladder/bench of any kind!
Follow the instructions below for each shelf of YG Acoustics™ Rack separately.
Start by determining whether the component to be positioned on the shelf has its own
suspension (many floating turntables do, as does some other equipment). If the
component has its own suspension, and especially if the manufacturer advises that it
should not be used in conjunction with additional isolation, use a hard coupling with three
stainless steel balls.
Otherwise, use the following chart to determine the required isolation inside the shelf.
