Auto Provisioning
Yeastar S-Series supports provisioning of IP phones and Yeastar gateways in bulk. Yeastar S-Series
provides two methods to do auto provisioning: PnP (Plug and Play) and DHCP.

Provisioning Methods
Yeastar S-Series supports provisioning in PnP mode and DHCP mode.
PnP
1. The IP phone or VoIP gateway broadcasts SIP SUBSCRIBE message when boots up.
2. Yeastar S-Series replies with SIP message NOTIFY and indicate the provisioning URL.
3. The IP phone or VoIP gateway uses the path to download the configuration file, resolve and
apply the configurations written in the configuration file.
NOTE:
To use PnP method, you need to enable PnP feature on your IP Phones.
DHCP
Use DHCP method, you should set your SIP phone or VoIP gateway as a DHCP client and
enable Yeastar S-Series DHCP server to set it as a DHCP server.
1. The IP phone or VoIP gateway get IP address from Yeastar S-Series.
2. Yeastar S-Series assigns an IP address and indicates the provisioning URL.
3. The IP phone or VoIP gateway download configuration file, resolve and apply the
configurations written in the configuration file.
NOTE:
To use DHCP method, you need to disable DHCP server on your router, and enable DHCP
server on S-Series (System > Security > Service), ensure that S-Series is the only DHCP server
in your local network.
