Procedure
DNS SRV query can be configured using the configuration files or locally.

Configure the DNS SRV query
on the IP phone.
Navigate to:
http://<phoneIPAddress>/cgi-bi
n/ConfigManApp.com?Id=4
To configure the DNS SRV query via web user interface:
1.
Click on Account.
2.
Select the desired account from the pull-down list of Account.
3.
Select DNS-SRV from the pull-down list of the Transport.
4.
Click Confirm to save the change.
Network Address Translation (NAT) is essentially a translation table that maps public IP
address and port combinations to private IP address and port combinations. This
reduces the need for a large amount of public IP addresses. The NAT feature helps
ensure security since each outgoing or incoming request must go through a translation
process, it also offers the opportunity to qualify or authenticate the request or match it to
a previous request. But in the VoIP environment, NAT translation may break end-to-end
connectivity.
