The drive can be operated at above the rated temperature, altitude, and default carrier frequency by derating the drive
capacity.

Carrier Frequency Derating
Derate the drive according to Figure A.1 when the carrier frequency is increased above the factory default setting.

Temperature Derating
To ensure the maximum performance life, the drives output current must be derated when the drive is installed in areas
with high ambient temperature. In order to ensure reliable drive overload protection, the parameters L8-12 and L8-35
must also be set according to the installation conditions.

Parameter Settings
According to the settings of parameters L8-12 and L8-35, the drive will be derated as shown in Figure A.2 .

Altitude Derating
The drive standard ratings are valid for an installation altitude up to 1000 m. If the altitude exceeds 1000 m both the drive
input voltage and the rated output current must be derated by 1% per 100 m. The maximum altitude is 3000 m.
