WARNING

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND THEM THOROUGHLY. Failure to follow all of the instruc-

tions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

• Keep the work area clean and well-lit.

• Do not operate a power tool near flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks that may ignite dust or fumes.

• Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away when using a power tool. Distractions can cause a loss of control.

• A battery-powered tool with integrated batteries or a separate battery pack must be recharged using the charger that is

specified for the battery. A charger that may be suitable for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used with

another battery.

• Only use a battery-powered tool with the specified battery pack. The use of any other battery may create a risk of fire.

Note: Charge only the 60-2181-2

,

20 V, 6 Ah lithium-ion battery pack using the 60-2182-

0

 Yardworks  battery charger.

• Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the blower on. A wrench or key that is left attached to a rotating part of

the tool may result in personal injury.

• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool

in unexpected situations.

A blower can blow foreign objects into the eyes, which could cause permanent eye damage. Always wear safety goggles

(not glasses). Ordinary eyeglasses only have impact-resistant lenses — they are not safety goggles.

• Do not use a tool if it cannot be turned ON or OFF using the switch. A tool that cannot be controlled using the switch is

dangerous, and must be repaired.

• Disconnect the battery pack from the tool or place the switch in the locked or OFF position before making any adjustments,

changing accessories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.

• Store idle tools out of the reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

• Stay alert, pay attention to the job, and use common sense when operating power tools. Do not use a tool while tired or

under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating a power tool may result in

serious personal injury.

• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from

moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

• Avoid accidental start-ups. Verify that the switch is in the locked or OFF position before inserting the battery pack. Carrying

a tool with a finger on the switch, or inserting the battery pack into a tool with the switch in the ON position invites accidents.

• When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects

that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause sparks, burns,

or a fire.

• Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, broken parts, and any other condition that may affect the operation of

the tool. If the tool is damaged, have it serviced before using it. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.

• Use only accessories that are recommended for this blower by the manufacturer. Accessories that may be suitable for one

tool may create a risk of injury when used with another tool.

• Servicing of this blower must be performed by qualified  repair personnel. Service or maintenance that is performed by

non-qualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.

• When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow the instructions in the Maintenance section of this

Manual. The use of unauthorized parts, or failure to follow the Maintenance Instructions, may create a risk of shock or injury.
