a. Hold the blade control against the upper handle.

b. Slowly pull starter rope out of engine. Position B.
c. Slip starter rope into the rope guide.

7. If your mower is equipped with an optional mulching
baffle, install it as shown in Figure 8.
a. Lift up and hold the side-discharge chute deflector
and insert bottom lip of the mulching baffle inside
the chute opening.
b. Push the hooks on the top of the baffle until they
snap over the hinge on the discharge chute.
Release the chute deflector.
NOTE:
When you wish to mow instead of mulch,
simply raise the chute deflector, grasp the handle on the
mulching baffle and lift upward to remove the baffle. It is
not necessary to remove the mulching blade.

ch wheel has a height adjustment lever to change
the cutting height of the mower. To change the height
of cut, squeeze adjuster lever toward the wheel,
moving up or down to selected height. See Figure 6.
