5) INSTALL THe LIFT ASSIST
1. Align the holes on the narrow end of the lift assist with the hole on the bracket attached
to the hydraulic tank as shown.
2. Insert the 12mm × 30mm pin through the holes on the lift assist and bracket.
3. Insert the R-clip through the small hole on the 12mm × 30mm pin to secure the lift
assist to the bracket.
4. Align the holes on the larger end of the lift assist with the hole on the bracket attached
to the splitter beam as shown.
5. Insert the 12mm × 30mm pin through the holes on the lift assist and bracket.
6. Insert the R-clip through the small hole on the 12mm × 30mm pin to secure the lift
assist to the bracket.
7. Standing along side the hydraulic ram (opposite side from the engine) firmly grasp the
handle on the beam and lower it to the horizontal position (Caution, beam is heavy).
8. As the beam comes to rest on the tow bar, the "Auto-Lock" horizontal beam lock will
engage and secure the beam into the horizontal position.
