A: Attach 2 Side boards to each Joist Gusset using 4 #8 x 1-1/2” Wood Screws. Be sure that the tops of Sides are
5/8” above the Joist Gusset, as well as both ends are flush and that Side is flush to Post as shown in Fig. 7.1 and
7.2
Note: The Joist should sit 5/8” from the top of Side or Side Short as shown in Fig. 7.2
