TROUBLESHOOTING

Fault/Malfunction

Cause(s)

Solution(s)

Mower not starting.

1.  Battery charge is low.
2.  Charger is connected to mower.
3.  Start key not installed or in the 

OFF position.

4.  Poor battery cable connections.
5.  Battery overheat 

1.  Charge the battery.
2.  Disconnect charger from mower.
3.  Install start key and turn to ON 

position.

4.  Check/clean all battery 

connections.

5.  Let the mower cool down for a 

while.

Mower won’t move.

1.  Start key not installed or is in 

OFF position.

2.  Parking pedal is set.
3.  Direction control switch is in 

neutral (N).

4.  Brake is depressed and/or 

accelerator pedal is not pressed.

5.  Charger is connected to mower.

1.  Install start key and turn to ON 

position.

2.  Release parking pedal.
3.  Place direction control switch 

in desired direction (forward or 
reverse).

4.  Release the brake pedal and 

press the accelerator.

5.  Disconnect charger from mower.

Mower cutting grass unevenly.

1.  Wet grass clippings sticking to 

the underside of the deck.

2.  Grass is too high.
3.  Worn, bent, loose, or dull blade.
4.  Mowing speed is too fast.
5.  Unlevel deck
6.  Tire pressure uneven or low.

1.  Remove grass from deck, allow 

grass to dry before mowing.

2.  Mow once at a high cutting 

height, then mow again at the 
desired height.

3.  Replace blade.
4.  Mow at a slower speed.
5.  Adjust the deck level
6.  Check and adjust tire pressure.

Mower vibrating at higher 
speed.

1.  Blade is unbalanced, loose, or 

excessively or unevenly worn.

2.  Bent motor shaft.

1.  Replace the blade.
2.  Turn off the mower and remove 

start key. Inspect for damage. 
Have repaired by an authorized 
service center before restarting.

Poor grass discharge.

1.  Side discharge chute or opening 

is plugged.

2.  Grass is wet.
3.  Mowing speed is too fast. 
4.  Grass is too high.

1.  Clean side discharge chute and/

or opening.

2.  Allow grass to dry before 

mowing. 

3.  Mow at a slower speed.
4.  Mow once at a high cutting 

height, then mow again at the 
desired height.

Motor stops while cutting.

1.  Cutting height set too low. 
2.  Battery charge is low.

1.  Raise the cutting height. 
2.  Charge the battery.

Blades do not rotate.

1.  Battery charge is low.
2.  Blade engage knob is down. 
3.  Operator is not fully seated. 
4.  Build-up of debris under mower.

1.  Charge the battery.
2.  Raise blade engage knob. 
3.  Sit down fully on the seat.
4.  Clean underside of mower 

housing.

Blades do not rotate while 
moving in reverse.

1.  Reverse mode option is off. 
2.  Blade engage knob is down.

1.  Press reverse mode button to 

activate. 

2.  Raise blade engage knob.

Mower won’t reach full speed. 1.  Battery charge is low.
