Installing batteries or AC adaptor

Remove the stainless steel platform. Gently and carefully turn the scale upside down.  Gently press on
the hollow in the battery cover, with your finger and slide the cover towards the front of the scale.  After
the battery cover is unlocked, lift and remove the cover.  Install the batteries according to the polarity
markings. If you reverse the polarities of the batteries, the scale will be damaged. Replace the battery
cover by aligning the tabs of the cover with the case and sliding the cover closed.

Use only the AC adaptor specified for use with the scale. Using the wrong adaptor can damage the
scale.  Remove battery cover.  Remove batteries, if installed.  Insert the adaptor plug securely into the
jack on the side of the battery case. Lead the wire out through the hole in the case. Replace the battery
cover.

Leveling the Scale

Place the scale on a flat and leveled surface when it is operated. If the scale is not
leveled, the weights may not be accurate. You can check whether the scale is leveled
by using a bubble level device positioned on the lower left of the front surface of the
scale.

Turning the scale on and off

Confirm that nothing is on the platform, press the

 key. The

display will briefly flash all the segments of the digits (all eights) and
all indicators will flash.  After approx. 5 seconds, the scale will then
automatically set to zero.

Press the

 key. The display will

go off.  Under battery operation, the power will

be shut off automati-

cally (AutoOff function) after about 15 minutes of non-use, even if you don’t press the OFF key.

Check the battery level

Turn the scale on and push the

key while the display is flash-

ing.  The remaining battery life will be displayed.  The more “

0

” you

see, the more the life there is left in the batteries. After showing the
remaining life in the batteries, the scale will go to weighing mode.

Zero the display

When turning on the power, the scale will zero automatically.  If a value is displayed when the platform

is empty, push the

key to zero the display.  The permissible zeroing range after turning on the

power is approximately ± 1.9 % of the scale capacity.

Switching between LB and KG

To switch between LB and KG, press and hold the

 key and press the

 key.
