5.7.2 Other fuel burning systems (heater and stove)
If the boat is equipped with a heater or a stove it is necessary to ensure that their respective
instruction manuals are stored on-board. The stove and the cabin heater (optional
equipment) have separate user manuals and therefore they are not covered in this owner’s
manual. The fuel tank for the stove and the heater, if applicable is located under the
larboard side aft seat. Use only good quality paraffin as fuel. Before you start to refill or
replace the petrol tank you should turn off the stove and the cabin heater. When handling
paraffin, do not use appliances or equipment that could cause sparks. Wipe up any spilled
paraffin immediately.
If the boat is equipped with a Wallas stove or heater it is always connected to the direct
supply switch in the main switch panel. The direct supply shall never be switched off before
the red combustion pilot lamp goes out (= aftercooling).
NOTE!
The pantry cover is made of tempered glass. Tempered glass is
durable and can tolerate quite rough treatment, but be aware that
the edge of the glass is quite fragile in terms of hits and knocks. Be
aware of the risk of breaking the pantry cover, when it is let down,
make sure that the stove is not in use and that there is nothing on
the stove or in the sink that can damage the cover. The cover must
be closed with the cover lock when the craft is moving.
5.7.3 Fire protection
The boat is equipped with a portable 2 kg fire extinguisher class 8A69B. Please look at the
image below for its location. The portable fire extinguisher must be serviced annually by an
authorised inspector. In the event that the fire extinguisher is replaced the capacity of the
new one should be the equivalent of the old one. You will see where the fire extinguisher is
located on the image below.
