10.Install:

• Timing chain guide (lower side)
• Timing chain sprocket
• Timing chain
• Primary drive gear “1”
• Washer “2”
• Primary drive gear bolt “3”

TIP

• Lubricate the threads and contact surface of 

the primary drive gear bolt and the contact sur-
faces of the washer with molybdenum disulfide 
grease.

• Install the washer with its chamfered side “a” 

facing away from the primary drive gear.

• Place an aluminum plate “b” between the bal-

ancer drive gear and the balancer driven gear, 
and then tighten the primary drive gear bolt.

11.Install:

• Holder (O2 sensor lead, gear position switch 

lead and crankshaft position sensor lead) “1”

• Holder (O

2

 sensor lead) “2”

TIP

• Position the holder “1” within the range shown 

in the illustration.

• Make sure that the holder “2” contacts the pro-

jection “a” on the crankcase breather cover.
