TRANSAXLE OIL
To check transaxle oil level:
For information on the jacking points, see page 40.
1. Place the utility vehicle on a flat, level surface.
2. Place an oil pan under the transaxle case.
3. Clean the area around the oil level plug and then
remove the plug.
Do not allow foreign material to enter transaxle.
Serious transaxle damage can result.
4. The oil level should be up to the brim of the tran-
saxle oil level hole.
5. If needed, add gear oil until it starts to flow from
the oil level plug hole.
Recommended oil brand:
Available viscosity index:
SAE 80W-90 or SAE 90
Transaxle oil change quantity:
400 cc (400 mL, 0.42 US qt)
6. Allow excess gear oil to flow out of the hole until
it stops.
7. Install the oil level plug.
For transaxle oil replacement, consult a Yamaha deal-
er or other qualified mechanic.

7. Pull the fuse out and inspect it. Replace the fuse
if necessary.
8. To install the front panel, reverse the above
steps.
