Add the correct quantity of oil through the oil fill-
er hole.

Recommended oil brand:

Available oil grade:

API SE type or higher JASO MA or MB

Available viscosity index:

10W-30 or 10W-40

7. 

Install the bottom panel by installing the bolts 
and quick fasteners, and then tighten the bolts 
to the following torque:

Bottom panel bolt torque:

7 N·m (0.7 kgf·m, 5.2 lb·ft)

Use care not to fill past the MAX dipstick mark, 
and be sure no foreign material enters the crank-
case. Serious engine damage can result.

After replacing engine oil, check for oil leaks around 
the drain plug. If oil leaks are found, consult a Yamaha 
dealer.
