PERIODIC INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT

If the oil temperature is low, the reading on
the dipstick will be low. If the temperature is
high, the reading on the dipstick will be high.

Do not run the engine for more than 15 sec-
onds without supplying water when check-
ing the oil level on land. The engine could
overheat.
