17 017 : SIOF Check Checking SIOF.
Have the sound produced from 2 SIOF signal lines (Line-A, Line-B) using the [TAB

Line-A [TAB

]: A3 (441 Hz) sound is produced from L channel and muted repeatedly at
1-second intervals. “ Line-A ” is displayed on the LCD.
Line-B [TAB

]: C5 (1049 Hz) sound is produced from R channel and muted repeatedly at
1-second intervals. “ Line-B ” is displayed on the LCD.
When the test is started, the sound is produced from Line-A.
18 018 : AUX-IN Check Checking AUX IN.
Start checking with the plug disconnected.
1. “
Not Inserted
” is displayed on the LCD when the test is executed.
2. Insert the stereo mini plug into the [AUX IN] terminal. “ Inserted ” is displayed on the LCD.
3. Check that the sound inputted to the [AUX IN] terminal is output at the [OUTPUT] and
[PHONES] terminals.
NOTE: Connect and then disconnect the jack before inserting the jack for
measurement or no signal will be output from the [OUTPUT] terminal.
19 019 : MIC Check
Checking MIC.
Set the [MASTER VOLUME] control to the maximum position in advance of testing.
* It is not possible to operate the VOLUME control while testing.
Start checking with the microphone disconnected.
1. “
Not Inserted ” is displayed on the LCD when the test is executed.
2. Insert the microphone into the [MIC] terminal. “ Inserted ” is displayed on the LCD.
3. Speak into the microphone. Check that there is no abnormal sounds or noise.
4. Connect a level meter (with a JIS-C fi lter) to the L/R of the [PHONES] connectors. (33
Ω
load)
5. Measure at each output jack when 1 kHz sine wave of –40 dBu is input to the [MIC] jack.
6. Set the [MIC/LINE] select switch to [MIC] and set the [INPUT VOLUME] at the maximum
level.
PHONES L, R: -4.0 ± 2 dBu
7. Set the [MIC/LINE] select switch to [LINE].
PHONES L, R: -15.5 ± 2 dBu
20 020 : SW, LED Check Checking switches and switch LEDs.
Activate switches shown on the LCD one by one and a sound is played at the prescribed pitch
respectively (refer to page 70). When a switch with LED is turned on, the LED will light up,
too.
(A two-colored LED will light in red.)
Sound continues to play as long as the switch is pressed. The LED continues to light until the
next switch is pressed.
To quit the test halfway, use the [DEMO] button or the lowest key on the keyboard to return to
the selection screen.
After all the switches are pressed,
“Dial Down”
will be shown on the LCD for [Data entry]
dial check.
Turn the [Data entry] dial counterclockwise and the number on the LCD will change from 50
to 0 and
“Dial Up” will be shown on the LCD. Next, turn the dial clockwise and make sure
that
“SW, LCD Check END”
is displayed on the LCD.
21 021 : All LED On Checking whole LEDs’ lighting up.
Check that all the LEDs will light.
22 022 : Red LED On Checking whole red LEDs’ lighting up.
Check that all the red LEDs will light.
23 023 : Green LED On Checking whole green LEDs’ lighting up.
Check that all the green LEDs will light.
24 024 : All LCD On Checking whole LCD’s lighting up. Check that all the dots in the LCD are turned black.
25 025 : All LCD Off Checking whole LCD’s turning off. Check that all the dots in the LCD are turned white.
26 026 : LCD Pattern Check Checking LCD pattern.
Use the [TAB
3
] button to select in the order of RGB pattern, rainbow pattern, and fl icker
noise pattern. Use the [TAB
2
] button to switch in reverse order. The color patterns are for
checking LCD picture quality. Check that there is no abnormality in the display.
