Other Tests
Noise Level Check
Connect the level meter (with JIS-C fi lter) to the L/R of the [PHONES/OUTPUT] jack. (33 Ω load)
Set the [MASTER VOLUME] to the maximum level and check the noise level.
· PHONES L, R: –78 dBu or less
Popping Noise Check
Connect the oscilloscope to the L/R of the [PHONES/OUTPUT] jack and turn on and then off the [STANDBY/ON] switch. Make
sure that popping noise level is 1.0 Vp-p or less, and that no abnormal sound or popping noise is output from the speakers.

Clearing the Flash ROM
Flash ROM Clear
When turning on the power by pressing the [STANDBY/ON] switch while holding the three highest black keys and the white key
(F#5 + G#5 + A#5 + C6) depressed, the Flash ROM backup and user data areas are initialized to the factory defaults.
Back UP Clear
When turning on the power by pressing the [STANDBY/ON] switch while holding the highest white key depressed, the Flash ROM
backup data area is initialized to the factory defaults.
TEST No LCD display Test descriptions, judging conditions, etc.
47 047 Rom Chk 2
Checks the ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Full address)
Make sure that “
Rom OK ” is displayed on the LCD.
This test takes a few seconds.
48 048 Ram Chk2
Checks the ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Full address)
Make sure that “
Rom OK ” is displayed on the LCD.
This test takes about 1 second.
49 049 Flash Rom Chk2
Checks the Flash ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Full address)
Make sure that “
Flash Rom OK
” is displayed on the LCD.
This test takes about 40 seconds.
50 050 Wave Rom Chk2
Checks the Wave ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Full address)
Make sure that “
Wave Rom OK
” is displayed on the LCD.
This test takes 5 to 8 minutes.
52 052 Factory Set
Initializes the entire backup area to reset to the factory default.

Factory Set End
” is displayed on the LCD when the test is fi nished.
53 053 Test Exit
This will leave the test program and change to the play mode.
