MUTE check
Checks whether the headphone Mute of analog signals work properly or not.
P-115B/P-115WH
1) Press the [A#1] key, and C5 sine wave sound is produced from L and R channels at
the same level.
2) Press the [TEMPO UP] button, and the outputs of the [PHONES] terminal are
muted.
3) Press the [TEMPO DOWN] button, and the outputs of the [PHONES] terminal are
not muted.
4) Press the lowest key to exit the TEST item, and sound production is stopped.
P-45B
1) Press the [A#1] key, and C5 sine wave sound is produced from L and R channels at
the same level.
2) Press the [highest key (C7)] of the keyboard, and the outputs of the [PHONES]
terminal are muted.
3) Press the [highest key-1 (B6)] of the keyboard, and the outputs of the [PHONES]
terminal are not muted.
4) Press the lowest key to exit the TEST item, and sound production is stopped.
34 C2 12 C2 Fail safe check Checks whether the Fail-Safe Circuit for digital volume control works properly or not.

1) Press the [C2] key, and A3 sine wave sound is produced from L and R channels at
the same level.
2) Press the [TEMPO UP] button and check that the outputs (speakers, headphones and
AUX OUT) are muted.
Press the [TEMPO DOWN] button and check that the outputs (speakers, headphones
and AUX OUT) are not muted. If the Fail-Safe Circuit is not detected, the C2 sine
wave sound is produced (continuously until any key is pressed).
3) Press the lowest key to exit the TEST item, and sound production is stopped.
P-45B
1) Press the [C2] key, and A3 sine wave sound is produced from L and R channels at
the same level.
2) Press the [highest key (C7)] key and check that the outputs (speakers and head-
phones) are muted.
3) Press the [highest key-1 (B6)] key and check that the outputs (speakers and head-
phones) are not muted. If the Fail-Safe Circuit is not detected, the C2 sine wave
sound is produced (continuously until any key is pressed).
4) Press the lowest key to exit the TEST item, and sound production is stopped.
20 G3 13 G3 Headphones
insertion and
extraction check Checks whether the PHONES jack work properly or not.
1) Start testing with the headphones unconnected.
2) Press the [G3] key and the C3 sine wave sound is produced from the speaker.
3) Connect the plug to the PHONES jack, and C4 sine wave sound is produced through
the headphone.
4) When the plug is disconnected,
P-115B/P-115WH: the C4 sine wave sound production is stopped.
P-45B: the C4 sine wave sound is produced through the speaker for 1 second.
For the NG test result, the C4 sine wave ound is produced (continuously until any
key is pressed).
5) Press the lowest key to exit the TEST item.
