Press the [FILE] button to enter the File
mode.
The File window (Fig. 1) appears.

Mount the USB storage devices to which the
fi le is saved or from which the fi le is loaded.
The USB storage device is automatically mounted
as soon as it is connected to the [USB TO DEVICE]
connector on the rear panel.

Select the USB strage device.
Select the USB strage device from the ones mount-
ed in the Device list (Fig. 1-

Move the path to the desired directory.
Select the desired directory in the USB strage de-
vice. To go down from the current directory, move the
cursor to the desired directory in the Directory/File list
(Fig. 1-

) then press the [ENTER] button. To go up
from the current directory, move the cursor to the top
line in the Directory/File list (Fig. 1-
e
) then press
the [ENTER] button. The Dir line (Fig. 1-
w
) indi-
cates the current directory name with the path and
the lower box lists the directories and
fi les belonging
to the current directory.
If you wish to create a new directory and save the
fi le there, see the left column for detailed instruc-
tions on creating a new directory.

Press the [SF5] button to call up the Input
Character window.

Enter the name of the new Directory.
The directory name can contain up to 20 charac-
ters. For detailed instructions on naming, refer to
page 166.

Press the [ENTER] button to actually enter the
name of the newly created directory.
Saving all user data or all data of a
specifi c type.

Select a device (USB storage) and directory as
destination by following "Basic Procedure in the
File mode".

Set the Type to "all,".

Press the [SF1] Save button to call up the
window for entering the fi le name.

Enter the file name, press the [ENTER] button
then the [INC/YES] button to save the data.
The fi le name can contain up to 20 characters. For
detailed instructions on naming, refer to page 166.
