SELF-DIAGNOSIS FAULT CODE INDICATION
When a system failure occurs, the error code number is indicated in the LCD display of meter and
the immobilizer system indicator light blinks at the same time. The pattern of blinking also shows the
error code.

51 IMMOBILIZER
UNIT Code cannot be
transmitted between
the key and immobi-
lizer unit. 1. Radio wave interfer-
ence caused by
objects around the
keys and antennas.
2. Immobilizer unit mal-
function.
3. Key malfunction.
1. Keep magnets,
metal objects,
and other immo-
bilizer system
keys away form
the keys and
antennas.
2. Replace the
main switch/
immobilizer unit.
3. Replace the key.

UNIT Codes between the
key and immobilizer
unit do not match. 1. Signal received from
other transponder
(failed to recognize
code after ten con-
secutive attempts).
2. Signal received from
unregistered stan-
dard key.
1. Place the immo-
bilizer unit at
least 50 mm
away from the
transponder of
other vehicles.
2. Register the
standard key.
