5. Lower Board (Front)
(Time required: About 2 minutes)
5-1 Remove the screw marked [D] in the lower board (front)
spring stopper. (Fig.E)
5-2 Press the lower board (front) spring stopper, and pull out
the knob. The lower board (front) can then be removed.

6. Action Unit (Time required: About 9 minutes)
6-1 Open the top board (front). (See Procedure A-1.)
6-2 Remove the upper board (front). (See procedure A-2.)
6-3 Remove the fallboard. (See procedure A-3.)
6-4 Remove the keyboard holder. (See procedure A-4.)
6-5 Remove the two (2) connectors on the right-hand side.

6-6 Lift the hammer rail, pull the soft raising pole forwards,
and remove the hook. (Fig.F-1)
6-7 Remove the fixed bolts at left and right. The action unit
can then be removed. (Fig.F-2)

Fitting the action unit
Insert the soft raising pole into the hammer rail, insert
the damper raising pole into the damper lever rod, and
fix the action unit in place.
B. Removing Electrical Components
•
Control Unit (DKC55RCD)
1. Top Cover CD
(Time required: About 2 minutes)
1-1 Remove the four (4) screws marked [C101G], the four
(4) screws marked [C301G] and the three (3) screws
marked [C302G]. The top cover CD can then be removed.

2. 1/2" CD-ROM
(Time required: About 4 minutes)
2-1 Remove the top cover CD. (See procedure B-1.)
2-2 Remove the two (2) screws marked [C201G], the four
(4) screws marked [C211G] and the two (2) screws
marked [C231G]. The 1/2" CD-ROM can then be
removed. (Fig.1, Photo.1)
3. ATAPI (DA) Circuit Board
(Time required: About 5 minutes)
3-1 Remove the top cover CD. (See procedure B-1.)
3-2 Remove the 1/2" CD-ROM. (See procedure B-2.)
3-3 Remove the two (2) screws marked [C222G]. The ATAPI
(DA) circuit board can then be removed from the 1/2"
CD-ROM. (Fig.1, Photo.1)
4. DSP Circuit Board
(Time required: About 5 minutes)
4-1 Remove the top cover CD. (See procedure B-1.)
4-2 Remove the 1/2" CD-ROM. (See procedure B-2.)
4-3 Remove the screw marked [C232G] and the two (2)
screws marked [C234G]. The DSP circuit board can then
be removed. (Fig.1, Photo.1,3)
5. Panel
(Time required: About 3 minutes)
5-1 Remove the top cover CD. (See procedure B-1.)
5-2 Remove the screw marked [C102G]. The panel can then
be removed. (Fig.1)
6. CD PANEL Circuit Board
(Time required: About 4 minutes)
6-1 Remove the top cover CD. (See procedure B-1.)
6-2 Remove the panel. (See procedure B-5.)
6-3 Remove the three (3) screws marked [C141G]. The CD
PANEL circuit board can then be removed. (Fig.1)
