Mounting alarm devices

WARNING
Before mounting the keypad and siren ensure that the system tamper is
disabled as described below.
Disabling the system tamper
Before mounting it is important to disable the
system tamper to avoid the siren sounding an
alarm.
Using the Keypad:

Press button A and enter “0000” to enter test
mode, press A then “2” to send “Tamper Off”
signal. The siren will beep in acknowledgement.
• Code “0000” is the factory default, use the new
user code if this has been changed.

The tamper function is now disabled for one
hour. If more time is required, simply repeat the
above step.
Using the Keyfob:

Press and hold down Arm and Home buttons
for 5 seconds. The siren will beep once in
acknowledgement.
Mounting the siren
Ensure the tamper switch is fully depressed when
the siren is mounted. If there is a gap, pack with a
suitable spacing material.

Find a location where the siren is to be mounted.

Using the large screws and wall plugs provided,
mount on the desired wall through the 4 mounting
holes.

Fix the siren cover with the securing screw.

Enable the tamper switch by entering keypad test
mode (A and “0000”) and pressing A then “3”, or
pressing and holding the Arm and Panic button on
the Keyfob for 5 seconds.
Testing whether the siren is fitted correctly:

Press Arm with the Keypad/Keyfob.

If there are 5 short beeps when armed, the tamper
switch is NOT fully depressed and will need to be
adjusted.
Unset the system by pressing Disarm on your
keypad then “0000”, or just Disarm on the keyfob.
Disable tamper as described above before
adjusting the siren tamper switch. If there is a
gap between the wall and the tamper switch
mechanism pack with a suitable spacing material.
When adjusted repeat the steps above from 1
through 5.

If there is one short beep and flash when armed,
the siren is mounted correctly and the siren
installation is complete. Disarm the system and
disable the tamper as described in step 6.
Mounting other devices
Find a location where the device is to be mounted,
see section “Location Planning” for suggestions.
Testing the radio range of siren:
Before proceeding to mount the devices
physically, check that the siren will receive the
system radio transmission by doing a simple radio
range test.
• Ensure the system tamper is disabled.
•
KEYPAD:
Hold the keypad in the desired
location and arm and disarm the system. The
siren will beep as confirmation.
•
HELP BUTTON:
To prevent an alarm being
triggered, put the siren into learn mode first. The
siren should respond with a single beep.
•
ALL OTHER DEVICES:
Hold the device in
the desired location and press the learn/test
button,siren should respond with a single beep.
• When you are satisfied that the devices work
in your chosen locations, proceed with the
installation as described below.
• If the siren does not respond, the location may
be out of range, try alternative locations until
reliable radio contact is obtained.
