Steer Reduction Sensor

REMOVE

NOTE:  

Note routing of steer reduction sensor wiring

prior to removal to help during installation.

1.

Position lift truck on flat level surface. Turn key
switch to 

OFF

 position and disconnect battery.

2.

Remove drive unit compartment cover. Refer to

AC Motor Repair

 0620YRM1513, Accessing the

Drive Unit Compartment, Lift Trucks A290A249.

3.

Loosen upper and lower locknut 1-2 turns and
slide sensor out of mounting bracket. See
Figure 10.

4.

Disconnect sensor from main wiring harness
connector located under pump connector. See
Figure 10.

5.

Remove sensor from lift truck.

4. MAIN WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR

5. PUMP CONTACTOR

6. BUTTON HEAD CLAMP

INSTALL

1.

Route steer reduction sensor around MDU and
AC Motor as noted during removal.

2.

Connect sensor to main wiring harness connector
located under pump contactor. See Figure 10.

3.

Slide sensor into mounting bracket and tighten
upper and lower lock nuts. See Figure 10.

4.

Using two button head clamps, secure sensor
wiring to mounting bracket. See Figure 10.

5.

Install drive unit compartment cover, refer to 

AC
