ALIGNMENT-7
TX Deviation
1. Inject a 1 kHz, 80 mV signal from the Audio
Generator.
2. Set the transceiver frequency to 440.050 MHz.
3. Press the [
F
(
MW

] key, then press the [
Tx PWR
]
to select "
LO
".
4. Press the [
F
(
MW
)
] key.
5. Press the [
P1
] key of the Microphone to set the
alignment menu Item to "
Adj 03 DEV
".
6. Press the
PTT
switch to activate the transmitter,
adjust the
DIAL
knob (Band B) so that the Devi-
ation Meter reading is 4.5 kHz (±0.2 kHz) (USA
Version: 4.2 kHz (±0.2 kHz).
7. Set the transceiver frequency to 146.050 MHz.
8. Press the [
F
(
MW
)
] key, then press the [
Tx PWR
]
to select "
LO
".
9. Press the
PTT
switch to activate the transmitter,
adjust the
DIAL
knob (Band B) so that the Devi-
ationMeter reading is 4.5 kHz (±0.2 kHz) (USA
Version: 4.2 kHz (±0.2 kHz).
Digital TX Deviation
