The output voltage from Q3 1 5 i s r eve r s ed in polarity by Q314 ,
( 2SC 3 7 2Y ) and applied to the Q 6 0 6 , ( 2SC3 7 2Y ) ke e ping the coll e cto r
of Q 606 in "H" level in o rd e r to drive Q 601 thr ough Q603 for the
di s play of the c hannel fr e qu e ncy . The voltage i s al s o applied
to
Ql0 5, ( 2SA5 64) whi c h supplie s DC voltage to a s e cond hete rodyne
o s cillato r Ql 04 , ( 2SC 3 7 2Y ) .
Whe n the VCO i s unlocked, the c olle cto r D C voltage drops c au s ing
the LED's to turn o ff and s imultaneou s ly the s e cond hete r odyne
o s cillato r c e a s e s to o s cillate . Thu s the r e c eive r i s muted until
VCO lo ck o c cur s .
PLL C ON TROL SE C T ION
The o pti c al c oupling s y s tem utilize s two photo -inte r rupter s Q2 and
Q3 , ( P S -4 0 01) to ge ne r ate two signal output s whi ch a r e a ppli ed to
a PLL counte r unit . The s ignal a pplied to CK te rminal is fed
thr ough a wave s hape r Q7 10 , ( M C14 049 B) to B C D up down counte r ,
Q7 0 7 ( 1 0 kHz) , Q7 0 8 ( 1 0 0 kHz) and Q 7 09 ( 1 MHz) , u s ing MC14 51 0 B
a s a clock s i gnal .
The signal applied to U /D te rminal i s inve rted by a unit of Q71 0
and contr o l s the up-down c ounte r . The output from Q7 07 -Q7 0 9
i s f e d t o a 4 bit data s ele cto r, Q7 01 - Q7 0 3 ( MC14 51B) and Quad
latch , Q7 04 -Q7 0 6 , ( M C14 042B) , whi c h a r e u s ed fo r m emo ry
whe n the MEMORY switch i s pre s s ed .
The output from Q7 01 -Q7 0 3 i s fed to a pro grammable divide r ,
Q 3 0 8 , ( pP D 8 5 7 C )

The di s play LED will b e tur ned off by Q 60 5 , ( 2SC 3 7 2Y ) when an
unlo cked s i gnal is r e c e ived .
