5.3 The Drive Belt maintenance
Removing the Belt
1. Remove the seven Bolts from the
Belt cover using 10MM Hex socket.
2. Remove the Belt cover and shaft
cover.
3. Loosen the set bolts(B*4PCS) on the
(
see the right ref. picture
).
4. Use adjust bolts(A*4PCS) to move
the shaft holder back and forth to loosen
/tighten /change belt.
5. Reinstall the Belt cover onto the
cover holder.
Checking the Belt Tension
1. Push down two belts together, check the measurement of its movement up and down.
2. Check if the distance in between is
+/- 8 MM.
Make necessary adjustment according to
tension scope until the required tension is obtained.
•
Make sure that the Belt, pulley or tension pulley are in alignment.
• The belt on your PTO CHIPPER is tensioned with tension pulley that is set at the factory.
As the Belt stretches from use, the Belt tension may need to be adjusted.
• Make sure all nuts and bolts are tightly fixed after your adjustment.
