The distance between the start level and the stop level must be <10% of the sensors
measuring range. For example, a level sensor with the range 0-5 m (0-16.4 ft) must have
the start level 0.5 m (0-1.64 ft) above the stop level.

Pump control functions
Normal pump cycle
The pump starts pumping when the start level is reached. The pump runs at maximum
frequency for a pre-set time on each start. The default value is set to 5 seconds when the
drive is delivered. The pumps slows down to energy efficient speed after the pre-set time.
The number of seconds that the pump runs is adjustable in the P4-14:Max freq start run
time parameter. The pump stops at the stop level and waits until the start level is reached
again.

Maximum frequency
2

Energy efficient frequency.
3
Start ramp
The frequency is ramped toward the set frequency at a rate suitable for the pump.
4
Flush time
Operation at the maximum frequency at the start of every pump cycle, user-defined
duration.
5
Energy efficient operation Pumping fluid level from the start level to the stop level at the energy optimum
frequency.
6
Stop ramp
The frequency is decreased toward zero at a rate that is suited to avoid water
hammer.
7
Coast to stop
The pump coasts to stop in a zero torque mode.
High inflow
During high inflow conditions, such as rain, the pump does not manage to empty the
sump using the optimal speed settings. The drive raises the speed until the outflow
matches the inflow. After a user adjustable amount of time, the frequency is increased
further to pump down the water level and end the pump cycle, which is set in the
P4-13:Pump cycle time parameter.
