Uninterruptible Power Supply
• Use of this equipment in life support applications where failure of this equipment can reasonably be expected
to cause the failure of the life support equipment or to significantly affect its safety or effectiveness is not rec

ommended. Do not use this equipment in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or
nitrous oxide.
• Connect your UPS power module’s grounding terminal to a grounding electrode conductor.
• The UPS is connected to a DC energy source (battery). The output terminals may be live when the UPS is not
connected to an AC supply.
1.7 Recycling the Used Battery
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. Battery may explode. Proper disposal of battery is re

quired. Refer to your local codes for disposal requirements. For more information, contact your
local recycling/reuse or hazardous waste center.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It
may be toxic.
