GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Before using this Knee Walker, it is essential that you read the entire user manual, including all
warnings and safety instructions. You should also convey all such warnings and instructions to any
other person using this Knee Walker. Retain this user manual for future reference.

: Attention User; This User’s Guide contains important information about the
installation, operation and safe use of this knee walker. This Guide should be given to the owner
and/or operator of this equipment.

Before using the Knee Walker, you should be trained by a healthcare professional or dealer.
Engage the lock and practice bending, reaching and transfers on and off the Knee Walker.
DO
NOT
use the Knee Walker by yourself until you have been properly trained, you have practiced with
someone and you feel confident you can maneuver by yourself.
NEVER
attempt a maneuver that has not been practiced.
Be aware of your surroundings when operating the Knee Walker. Look for hazards and avoid them.
Do not operate the machine while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other medication.
Placement of injured leg on bench should be centered side to side and positioned forward to
cover the full length of bench.
With injured leg on bench, stand as straight as possible (adjust the height of the Knee Walker as
necessary).
With injured foot pointing down, the propulsion leg should be maintained as close as possible to the
bench.
While on your toes, start out with small steps with propulsion leg. Concentrate on keeping that leg next
to the bench. With practice, you should be able to move forward without deviating to the opposite side.
Failure to properly engage the quick-release clamp may cause the steering column to move while the
Knee Scooter is in use and may cause the rider to lose control. With the quick-release clamp properly
adjusted, the handle bars will be locked in place.
Be sure to check that the quick-release clamp is secure and tight before each use or injury may result.
Injury may result if knee platform setup instructions are not followed.
Do not adjust the screw next to the parking brake button.
Because the Knee Scooter is lightweight, use of the hand brake while in motion may cause an abrupt
stop.
Do not use the Knee Scooter on or near stairs while under the influence of mind altering substances or
if you feel dizzy.
Use caution when moving from carpeted to hard surface floors, on rough surfaces or when changing
levels (for example, moving from a curb to the street and back onto the sidewalk) from a seated
position.
Check the Knee Scooter frequently for any loose cotter or clevis pins, loose nuts or bolts and be sure to
check the quick-release clamp on the tube. Do not use the scooter if any pins are missing.
Do not use on uneven surfaces.
Do not use in speeds above 3 MPH.
Do not use on an incline of more than 15 degrees
Do not let children play on or with the Knee Scooter.
