7.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORDLESS MINI CHAIN SAW
CAUTION!
•
Always observe all safety precautions and follow all instructions in this user manual before
and during operation of the device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious
personal injury or property damage.
• Before operating the equipment, consider the surrounding conditions, actively anticipate
and avoid situations that could lead to loss of control of the equipment, property damage
or personal injury.
QUALIFICATION
No special qualification or training are required to handle and operate this device. However,
without exception, it is necessary to study and follow all the instructions stated in this instruction
manual and all other safety measures valid at the time associated with the place where this device
is to be used.
Only persons over the age of
18
may handle the device (unless otherwise specified by local
legislation), if these persons have first familiarized themselves sufficiently with instruction manual
and fully understood all its instructions. Persons under the age of 18 may only operate this
equipment under the supervision of another person over the age of 18 who has been fully trained
to operate the equipment and/or if such younger persons have been trained by qualified personnel
and have attained sufficient knowledge and experience to operate the equipment.
RESIDUAL RISKS

The saw chain can cause serious injuries such as cuts or severed limbs. Never reach near
the saw chain while the equipment is in operation or until the chain has come to a complete
stop after it has been turned off.

Use adequate protective equipment such as goggles, face shields, gloves, suitable shoes
and clothing, etc.
•
Never remove the saw chain guard while the device is in operation. Serious injury may
occur.
• Before starting the device, check the area where you will be handling the device and
remove all dangerous and inappropriate objects from this area. Make sure all components
are properly installed and secured.
•
Insufficient lighting at work increases the risk of injury. Ensure that the workplace is
sufficiently lit when working with the device.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORK WITH A CORDLESS MINI CHAIN SAW
1. Never remove the upper chain guard from the device. Risk of serious injury!
2. Never reach near the upper chain guard and depth stop when the device is running.
3. Never start the device while the cut material or workpiece is in contact with the saw chain.
There is a risk of serious injury from kickback. Allow the device to reach its maximum speed
before contacting the saw chain with the material.
4. Before cutting loose objects, secure them sufficiently and securely, e.g., with suitable
clamps.
