xiQ - Technical Manual Version 1.0

5.5.3.

Usage

streamViewer application can be run without installing (just mount DMG file and double-click its icon) and does not depend on
m3api.framework being installed. It is a sample viewer with a minimalistic interface.

figure 5-14, MacOS - streamViewer

m3api framework is API library and its headers. It's needed for software development. You can check Examples folder to see how
to use it properly.

Opening streamViewer from terminal

The streamViewer can be opened from terminal using:

cd ~

/Applications/streamViewer.app/Contents/MacOS/streamViewer

Opening multiple streamViewers

When multiple XIMEA cameras are connected to OSX, multiple streamViewers can be used to display image from each of the
cameras.

To open multiple streamViewers follow steps:

•

Open Applications

•

Click on streamViewer with right button

•

Select Duplicate - to create new copy of streamViewer application

•

Start each instance of application for each camera
