System Administrator Guide

Fax Mailboxes

You can store faxes locally in the printer or on a remote fax machine. You can use Remote Polling to

print or access a stored fax. There are 200 available fax mailboxes.

Editing a Fax Mailbox

At the printer control panel, press the

Machine Status

button, then touch the

Tools

tab.

Touch

Service Settings

Embedded Fax Settings

Touch

Mailbox Setup

Touch a mailbox in the Mailbox List, then touch

Edit

Touch

Mailbox Name

, type a name for the mailbox up to

characters using the touch screen

keyboard, then touch

To assign a passcode to the mailbox, touch

Mailbox Passcode

, then

Passcode Protect

. Type a

4-digit passcode using the numeric keypad, then touch

. Users must type this passcode when

storing faxes to, or printing faxes from, the mailbox.

To ensure that the user receives Fax Notifications, touch

Deleting a Fax Mailbox

At the printer control panel, press the

button, then touch the

tab.

Touch the assigned mailbox that you want to delete, then touch

Delete Mailbox & Contents

CAUTION:

Touching

Delete Mailbox

deletes the mailbox and all documents it contains.

On the Delete Mailbox confirmation screen, to delete the mailbox touch
