Solution
Faded printouts with multiple
colors faded
The paper type is heavier or
thicker than the paper type
selection.
Adjust the paper type settings.
The paper being used is outside
the recommended specification
range.
Replace the paper with a
recommended size and type, and
confirm that your control panel and
print driver settings are correct. For
details, see
Supported Paper
on page
The toner cartridges are not
Xerox
®
toner cartridges.
Replace the toner cartridges with
genuine Xerox
®
toner cartridges. It can
take several prints before full quality is
restored.
The bias transfer roller voltage is
insufficient for the paper type.
Verify that the paper loaded in the tray
matches the paper type selected at the
control panel and in the print driver.
The settings in the application or
print driver are incorrect.
Print the Graphics Demo Page. If If the
Demo Page looks correct, the printer is
printing properly. Your application or
incorrect settings in the print driver are
probably causing the print-quality
problems.
The paper is damp.
Replace the paper.

Only one color is faded

The imaging unit is defective.
If the defect occurs in one color only,
replace the corresponding imaging
unit.
