Read this instruction manual carefully before using the device. The
technical specifications can be find on the last page.
The Power Transfer Switch ensures automatic switching between two
230VAC circuits. By installing a device from the PTS series, you can have
your 230VAC users work on two different circuits, without the need to
perform any actions in this. This means that it is no longer necessary to
switch between the circuits manually, and that the risk of the two circuits
connecting, is also eliminated. The device switches between the two
230VAC inputs very quickly, so that it does not affect the users. This
means that the PTS can also be installed in a back-up system.
The PTS can be used in multiple combinations of 230VAC circuits. This
includes: mains voltage in combination with DC-AC inverter, mains voltage
in combination with generator, generator in combination with DC-AC
inverter.

Important
-
Make sure the system is completely voltage free during the installation
and connection.
- Installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- Ground is interconnected. In case of a steel vessel, it is not advisable
to connect the shore earth with the ship. This in order to prevent
corrosion. To ensure safety, an isolation transformer can also be
installed.
The Power Transfer Switch has two inputs and one output. The mains
voltage is connected at the 'Mains input'. The other input consists of a cord
with plug which can be connected directly to the output of the DC-AC
inverter or generator. See paragraph ‘connection’. If you use a generator
in combination with a DC-AC inverter, it is recommended to connect the
generator to the 'Mains input'. This is because, in normal situations, the
DC-AC inverter must always be subordinated.
