2.
After connection to the battery a load can be connected
to the output. Adjust the cable thickness to the output power
and the length.
3.
Set the on/off switch to the ‘on’ position. The ‘power on’ LED
will light and there is a stable DC output voltage present.
Important
-
The converter will not work (correctly) if the input voltage is
too low.
-
If the converter isn’t used for a longer period of time, we
advise you to disconnect the converter from the battery.
‘External Control’ wire
The IPC and PB converters are equipped with a D+ wire, the
‘external control’ input. With this brown wire the converter can be
switched on/off on a distance. You can connect this wire for
instance on the D+ connection of the dynamo, the ignition key or
an external n/o switch. The converter will start operating when a
voltage will be connected to the D+ wire. If you want to use the
D+ wire in stead of the on/off switch, the on/off switch should be
set to the “off” position.
Connecting a battery on output
A battery may be connected on the output of the models from the
IPC and PB series. However, we advise you to order the charge
converter version of the concerning converter.
