6. Move the printer to a location that meets the guidelines in “Printer Location”
in chapter 1.
7. Set up the printer following the instructions in chapter 1.
Cleaning the Printer
To help keep your printer running smoothly and avoid unnecessary problems,
perform the following cleaning steps monthly. Also, clean the printer inside after
removing a paper jam or replacing the toner cartridge.
Fuser Assembly Cleaning
1. Turn off and unplug the printer.
Allow fuser assembly to cool before removing.
2. Open the fuser cover assembly (fig. 6.1).

3. Loosen but do not remove the two thumb screws located on the right side of
the printer.
