Operation
Control via the system remote control
With the HiFi-amplifier A-1000 attached system remote control the Cassette deck can be swit-
ched off and on by pressing the button POWER on the remote control.
› Provided that the button POWER (1) at the cassette deck is in position ON.
› Never plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the device was taken from a
cold to a warm environment. The condensation water created thereby may damage the device.
› Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation
water has evaporated.
› Never pull the mains plug by pulling the cable from the socket. Always only use the thus pro-
vided grip area.
› Remove the mains plug from the electrical outlet if the device is not in use for a longer period
of time.
› For safety reasons always pull the mains plug from the socket during a thunderstorm.
› Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
Tips on handling compact cassettes
› If not being used or after play back, store your cassettes in the provided protective cassette
cases.
› When storing your compact cassettes, make sure they are not exposed to direct solar radiation,
heat, moisture and strong magnetic fields.
› Check the easier running of the tape coil and that there are no loops. By this way you avoid the
so-called “tangled-up-tape”.
› Please do not use any C-120 cassettes or cheap cassettes. These cassettes tend to a „tangled-
up-tape“.
› To protect the recordings and provide a cassette erase protection, carefully break off the both
plastic tabs on the upper side of the cassette. This eliminates the possibility of inadvertently
recording.
› If you wish to restore the copy protection, paste over the hole that existed with a piece of adhe-
sive tape.
