CLIMBING BELT USAGE

STEP 5.  

If necessary to use a climbing  belt for the field 

installa�on of your treestand (as per the specific Instruc-

belt through one of the waist loops and wrap the free end  

around  the  tree.  Then  feed  opposite  end  through the 

opposite  waist loop and use 3 bar buckle method descri- 

bed in Fig. 5A to secure.

thread the loose end through the loop and pull to �ghten 

before you a�ach the carabiner to the prusik knot. It is 

important to keep the tether as short as possible this will

limit the distance you will travel in case of a fall. (See 

Fig. 7 below)

NOTE:

Use  your  climbing  belt  when  installing  or  removing  hang-on  or  lock-on  style  treestands  and their climbing aids  (e.g.,  stick ladders, sectional 

ladders, steps, etc.) as directed by the Instruction Manual. It is important to remember to stay connected to the tree trunk with your climbing belt until you 

have safely secured your harness tether and tree rope to the tree trunk. Once you have secured your tree rope and harness tether and adjusted their length, 
only then can you safely disconnect your climbing belt and step down onto the standing platform portion of your treestand.
