Working on high-voltage batteries
WARNING
• Usage of a high-voltage lithium-ion battery after deep discharge can result in malfunction, damage, and
spontaneous fire.
• If the battery voltage is less than 277 V OCV for more than 3 hours, the battery can be damaged irreversibly.
• If a battery cell has less than 2.8 V OCV for more than 3 hours, call our Technical Support immediately.
Observe the general safety regulations that apply when working on electrical equipment with hazardous voltage in
marine applications.
For those qualified to work on high-voltage batteries:
•
Check that the high-voltage battery is intact and voltage-free before working on it.
•
Keep the battery away from fire, excessive heat, water, dust, and contaminants.
•
The battery must not be opened, disassembled, crushed, or drilled through.
•
Keep the battery away from unauthorized persons.
