Capacity and dimensions of the trailer must be sufficient to carry the boat and its load.

There must be enough support to distribute the weight of the boat properly without excessive point loads.

The trailer must be in good condition.

1.

If there is bilge water, drain it.

2. Lower the boat onto the trailer and adjust the side supports so they provide an even support to the boat and most

of the weight rests on the keel supports.
It is normal that the trailer gets somewhat nose-heavy.

3. Use tiedown straps to secure the boat to the trailer. If necessary, protect the boat by placing suitable padding

between the straps and the boat. The boat must be unable to move in any direction.

4. Make sure all compartments and service hatches are closed and secured properly.

5. When transporting the boat on the trailer, do not use a hood or other cover.
