Surge:
The F3’s surge protector is live as soon as
it is plugged in and switched on at the wall. It is
working as long as the indicator light is lit.
If the light is extinguished it has reached the end
of its life and you should contact us to arrange
replacement.
The F3 will continue to work in the meantime,
but surge protection will be disabled.
EMI/RFI Filter:
This is a 16 Amp rated passive device with full
3-way protection against conducted and radiated mains
noise. It requires no maintenance and will last a lifetime.
Sockets
: these are unswitched,
earthed, 13 Amp UK 3-pin
types with a strong
polycarbonate structure.
As with all plastics these can
become brittle in sub-zero
temperatures, so please use
carefully in such conditions.
Power Inlet
: Standard C14 10 Amp IEC type.
Materials comments as above.
Enclosure
: This is a star-earthed anodised
aluminium alloy extrusion. Anodised metalwork can
be scratched by sharp items, so please treat carefully.
