(4) OPC Timer (OPC Model)
OPC Timer (OPC Model)
1. Remove the OPC timer (1). (OPC timer is located behind the
panel.)
2. Connect jumper leads across the battery positive terminal and
the timer 3 terminal, and across the battery positive terminal and
the timer 4 terminal referring to the figure. Install the switch
between the timer 3 terminal and the timer (terminal).
3. Connect jumper leads across the battery negative terminal and
the timer 2 terminal, and across the battery negative terminal
and the lamp terminal referring to the figure.
4. Connect jumper leads across the timer 1 terminal and the lamp
terminal.
5. Set the switch (4) to ON position, and the lamp (2) lights up.
6. When setting the switch (4) to OFF position, the lamp (2) turns
off 0.7 to 1.3 seconds late.
If the lamp (2) does not turn off, the OPC timer (1) is defective.

(5) Starter and Starter Relay
Starter Motor B Terminal Voltage
1. Measure the voltage across the B terminal and chassis.
2. If the voltage differs from the battery voltage, check the battery's
cable.

Motor Test
CAUTION
• Secure the starter to prevent it from jumping up and down
while testing the motor.
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the battery positive cable and the leads from the
starter.
3. Remove the starter from the engine.
4. Disconnect the connecting lead (2) from the starter
C terminal
(1).
5. Connect a jumper lead from the connecting lead (2) to the
battery positive terminal post.
6. Connect a jumper lead momentarily between the starter motor
housing and the battery negative terminal post.
7. If the motor does not run, check the motor.
